Nodiggity_nodiet is all about applying scientific, evidence based exercise and nutrition into your programmes also focusing on and creating healthier habits, therefore not so much focusing on weight. The idea behind this is so that we don’t create an obsession over looking at the scales as so many factors can be affecting your weight, also thinking this way instead of thinking about weight can make it a more sustainable method of reaching your health goals. I want to help you create these healthier habits so that eventually you won’t need me and be able to put these skills you have learnt to use without help or guidance. This does not just include weight management, if your goal is to switch to a vegan diet and want to learn how to in a safe way that avoids causing deficiencies or you want to improve gut health or just want to learn how to eat healthier then the same applies I am here to help give you the tools to eventually be comfortable on your own to enjoy a balanced diet that is right for you. 

I also have a degree in sport & exercise science and I am also a qualified level 3 Personal Trainer. So I can also offer you PTing providing you with 1-1 sessions putting together an exercise plan personalised for you and your health and fitness goals. As a registered associate nutritionist and PT I can provide both exercise and nutrition plans that help you reach your goals quicker. 

As a nutritionist I am focused on only providing the most up to date evidence-based nutrition advice. I am registered with the AfN therefore it is important that I keep up to date with the science as it is always changing and discovering new things. My knowledge comes from the sciences therefore you can be sure you will be provided with advice that is backed by the most up-to-date science on nutrition.

You might think why would I work with a nutritionist? What does a nutritionist actually do?

Firstly, I will provide you with knowledge of the science behind nutrition and break this down into easily understandable information. Empowering you to make your own decisions on lifestyle and food. Once you have the knowledge I will help you put this knowledge into practice, I will provide you with useful practical tips to apply this information into your everyday life. One of the main reasons for a nutritionist is to have someone keep accountability and keep you motivated on those days you just don’t feel the motivation is as strong, I will be just a text message or phone call away. Another big reason for a nutritionist is that I can help you overcome any barriers you may have or may come across along your journey, to help you reach your health, nutrition and fitness goals.

Nutrition is the most important part of any health and fitness journey and this is not just me being biased this is backed by science. You cannot out run a bad diet. Studies have shown that people who took part in programmes that provided exercise and diet plans for weight loss saw significant improvements when compared to those that just had exercise plans or even those that just had diet plans. In fact those on just the exercise alone plan were found to have the least improvement compared to both and just diet alone. The difference between diet alone and exercise alone was not significant however the diet and exercise group had significance when compared at the end from how participants started. So I think this shows the importance of the role of nutrition actually plays in a persons health and fitness journey and how putting them both together can show great improvement.
